As the Alaska Group always strives to be an all-rounder within the mining industries, aside from the actual mining operation that the Alaska Group has undertook ever since the establishment, the fact that the Alaska Group in its role as an active trader in the sales and purchase of the following key mined mineral products has also allowed the Group to tap into their maximum commercial potential..

Iron Ore

Simple introduction:

Iron ore (Chinese: 铁矿石) is the most common metallic element in the universe. When pure it is a dark, silvery-gray metal. It is a very reactive element and oxidizes (rusts) very easily. The reds, oranges and yellows seen in some soils and on rocks are probably iron oxides. Iron is the third most common element making up the Earth. Iron is one of the three naturally magnetic elements; the others are cobalt and nickel. Iron is the most magnetic of the three.

– Usage of the minerals

Almost all of the iron ore that is mined is used for making steel. Raw iron by itself is not as strong and hard as needed for construction and other purposes. So, the raw iron is alloyed with a variety of elements (such as tungsten, manganese, nickel, vanadium, chromium) to strengthen and harden it, making useful steel for construction, automobiles, and other forms of transportation such as trucks.

Simple introduction:

Bauxite (Chinese: 铝土矿) is a rock formed from a reddish clay material called laterite soil and is most commonly found in tropical or subtropical regions. Bauxite is primarily comprised of aluminum oxide compounds (alumina), silica, iron oxides and titanium dioxide. Approximately 70 percent of the world’s bauxite production is refined through the Bayer chemical process into alumina. Alumina is then refined into pure aluminum metal through the Hall–Héroult electrolytic process.

– Usage of the minerals

Bauxite is used in a lot of industries like the chemical industry, refractory, abrasive, cement, steel, and petrol industry amongst others. In chemical, bauxite along with alumina is used in the manufacturing of aluminium chemicals. In refractory, it is used as a raw material for making several products.

Gold

Simple introduction : Gold ore (Chinese: 金矿石)
- Usage of the minerals
- Our mines reserve estimated quantity

Simple introduction:

Gold ore (Chinese: 金矿石) is a rare ore block that can be found underground.Gold ore will be generated in the form of veins between the stones on the 0-31 layer of the main world. The veins are 1-9 blocks in size, and each block will try to generate 2 times.

– Usage of the minerals

Gold ore generated between deep slate or tuff will be replaced with deep gold ore.Gold ore refers to ore containing gold elements or gold compounds, which can be processed into gold concentrates or gold ore sands with higher gold-bearing grades. Gold concentrates need to be refined by smelting to become fine gold and gold products.

Ilmenite Ore

Simple introduction : Ilmenite (Chinese: 钛铁矿)
- Usage of the minerals
- Our mines reserve estimated quantity
- Our quality

Simple introduction:

Ilmenite (Chinese: 钛铁矿) is a main titanium-bearing mineral, containing a certain amount of iron, usually in irregular granular form scattered in the rock, or in a dense block shape. It is a raw material for smelting ilmenite alloys and making titanium dioxide. Ilmenite often coexists with magnetite, scattered in basic igneous rocks, and also produced in alkaline rocks.

– Usage of the minerals

Titanium and its alloys were first used in the manufacture of airplanes, rockets, missiles, ships, etc., and began to be promoted in the chemical and petroleum sectors. For example, in the manufacture of supersonic aircraft, since the surface temperature of this type of aircraft is relatively high when flying at high speeds, aluminum alloy or stainless steel is used. At this temperature, the original performance has been lost, while the titanium alloy remains good at a temperature above 550°C.

Simple introduction:

Silica sand, (Chinese: 硅砂), also known as silica or quartz sand. It is a refractory particulate matter with quartz as the main mineral component and a particle size of 0.020mm-3.350mm. According to different mining and processing methods, it is divided into artificial silica sand, washed sand, scrubbed sand, and selected (flotation) sand. Silica sand is a hard, wear-resistant, chemically stable silicate mineral. Its main mineral component is SiO2. The color of silica sand is milky white or colorless and translucent, with a hardness of 7, which is brittle without cleavage, and has a shell-like fracture. Grease luster, relative density is 2.65, its chemical, thermal and mechanical properties have obvious anisotropy, insoluble in acid, slightly soluble in KOH solution, melting point 1750℃. The color is milky white, light yellow, brown and gray, and silica sand has high fire resistance.

-Usage of the minerals

Silica sand is an important industrial mineral raw material, widely used in glass, casting, ceramics and refractory materials, metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, plastics, rubber, abrasives and other industries.

Simple introduction:

Limestone (Chinese: 石灰石) is abbreviated as limestone, a carbonate rock with calcite as the main component. Sometimes it contains dolomite, clay minerals and detrital minerals, The hardness is generally not large, and it has a violent chemical reaction with dilute hydrochloric acid. It is classified as sedimentary rock according to its genesis, mostly of the mineral calcite and comprising about 15% of the Earth’s sedimentary crust. It is a basic building block of the construction industry (dimension stone) and a chief material from which aggregate, cement, lime and building stone are made.

– Usage of the minerals

The largest use of lime is in steel manufacturing where lime is used as a flux to remove impurities such as phosphorus and sulfur. It is used in road construction and traditional building construction. As a source for lime, it is used to make paper, plastics, glass, paint, steel, cement, carpets, used in water treatment and purification plants and in the processing of various foods and household items (including medicines).

Simple introduction:

Nickel (Chinese: 镍) is a ferrophilic element, It is a very important non-ferrous metal due to its good mechanical strength and ductility, refractory high temperature resistance, high chemical stability, and non-oxidation in the air. Alloys based on nickel were found to have excellent corrosion resistance and could withstand high temperatures, which made them suitable for chemical plants and also allowed the practical realisation of the jet engine. As a result of these developments, nickel has enjoyed a very strong growth of demand over the past century. This continues today because of the essential role nickel plays in many technologies.

– Usage of the minerals

The raw materials are used to manufacture stainless steel, high-nickel alloy steel and alloy structural steel, which are widely used in various military manufacturing industries such as airplanes, radars, missiles, tanks, ships, spacecraft, and atomic reactors. In the civil industry, nickel is often made into structural steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, etc.,
